I built Lara for myself because every expense app I tried felt like a chore. Download something, get through setup, lose interest by week three, repeat next year. Lara works because it lives where I already am — and because it took six weeks with Claude Code to ship the whole thing.
Lara never reads your bank account or scrapes your statements. You tell her what you want her to know. Confirming deletion cancels billing, unlinks Family, and resets the account; email privacy@larabot.co for remaining erasure.
WhatsApp encrypts messages in transit. Lara (and Twilio) must read the message to log the expense — the WhatsApp Business API is not end-to-end encrypted to Lara.
Export as PDF or Excel anytime. Confirming deletion cancels billing, unlinks Family, and resets the account. Request remaining erasure at privacy@larabot.co.
